Eileen is Ametros' Business Development Manager covering Pennsylvania and Delaware, and has been with us for 6 months. We loved catching up with her and learning about her exciting summer plans!
What’s your favorite part of your role?
“For me, I get the most out of advocating for the injured party and seeing the process through while staying by their side. I spend a lot of time with them and learn so much about their lives outside of their injury. I enjoy going to mediations and am always happy to see all sides at the settlement table having a positive outlook towards our service.”
If you weren’t a salesperson what would you be?
“I’d love to be a travel blogger and visit fascinating places around the world, and fill in time by volunteering with a nonprofit. If reality were to set in, I’d love to own a Barefoot Contessa shop!”
Do you have a mentor that made an impact on developing your career? Who & how did they help?
“Mark Doherty, SVP of Business Development here at Ametros has been my mentor from the start. He continues to show the entire team and myself that you can have a real balance when it comes to personal life and work. He has a big heart, is extremely encouraging, and has always been supportive.”
To pass the time on the plane when I travel to a conference...
“I don’t travel on a plane too often, but when I drive I try to catch up with old friends. It’s amazing how time flies when you’re chatting about stories from the glory days! If I’m ever waiting around while traveling, I like to read and prep for my events.”
Do you have any vacation plans this summer?
“I’m actually heading to the Amalfi Coast in Italy with my daughter at the end of August! We have a couple excursions booked, and can’t wait to eat, drink, and sight see around Pasitino and other villages!”
What sort of advice would you give colleagues in your industry?
“Take one day at a time and do the best possible job you can. And don’t take things personally!”
Do you donate to any charities? If yes, which one(s) and why?
“Yes I do! My daughter has been part of Humanity and Hope United, and love that 100% of the proceeds go to the charity. I also donate to the American Cancer Society, as it is near and dear to my heart after overcoming esophageal cancer.”
What’s your favorite state that you’ve visited?
“Hawaii is definitely my absolute favorite state. The second I got off the plane, I felt instant relaxation and not a worry in the world.”
Fun Fact:
“I have a huge cookbook collection. I honestly read them for leisure. I could be on float in the pool and be reading recipes! I love that my kids take after me and we’ll swap recipes, it makes me feel so close to them even when they are in different states.”
My motto is…
“Be kind always. Only you can control your own actions, and you have no idea what other people are going through and how your words can affect them."
