Wilmington, Mass. (May 2, 2019) — Porter Leslie, President of Ametros, will describe the types of professional administration services used in workers’ compensation and liability settlements during an upcoming webinar hosted by the National Alliance of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals (NAMSAP).
The program will cover what cases are appropriate for professional administration and whether workers’ compensation and liability cases are handled differently. Leslie will discuss injured parties’ use of Medicare Set Aside funds, separate funding for expenses that are not covered by Medicare, and the exposures that various settlement stakeholders may face if administration is not discussed at the time of settlement.
Leslie will also highlight self-administration assistance options. “It is unrealistic to expect the average injured employee or other injured party to be able to properly manage funds in accordance with the guidelines set forth by CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) without guidance,” Leslie said. “There are low-cost, technology driven resources that help injured parties report their medical spend compliantly. Some also offer medical networks and pharmacy discounts so the medical funds will go farther and last longer.”
He will be joined by Angelo Severino of Morrissey, Morrissey & Mooney LLC, and Thomas Spratt, Vice President of Settlement Solutions, for the hour-long session on Tuesday, May 14, starting at 2 p.m. ET. To register, please go to https://tinyurl.com/MSA-Admin.
