Ametros’ CEO Marques Torbert to Discuss Creative Ways to Settle Claims at CCWC

Wilmington, Mass. (June 26, 2018) — Settling a difficult workers’ compensation claim takes a careful balancing act.  How can you minimize Medicare Set-Aside exposure to the payer, make sure the injured party will have enough to cover their future medical expenses, and protect Medicare’s interest all at the same time?  How can you develop a strategy to meet the needs of all the stakeholders?

Ametros’ CEO, Marques Torbert, joins John Pinto of Arcadia Settlements Group, Jake Reason of EK Health, and  Kim Wiswell of MedVal in a lively panel discussion called “What’s in it for Everyone? Creative Ways to Resolve a Claim with an MSA that is Attractive to All Parties.” The presentation starts at 2:30 p.m. on July 12th at the 16th Annual Conference Legislative and Educational Forum of the California Coalition for Workers’ Compensation.

The session will show how to use MSAs to facilitate settlement, and will discuss ways that professional administrators can relieve concerns of injured workers, protect employers, and safeguard Medicare’s interest.  The presenters will also examine how structured settlements can extend the life of the settlement funds and minimize Medicare and non-Medicare medical expenses.
