Mark Long

Mark provides thoughtful insight and leadership on regulatory, policy, and strategic initiatives at Ametros. He has more than 30 years of industry experience that spans from claims examiner to executive level management in both government and the insurance industry.

Prior to Ametros, Mark was the Assistant Vice President of Claims at ESIS, Inc. with both regional and national claims responsibilities. Previously, he had a very successful career in state government holding roles as the Director of Workers’ Compensation and Senior Deputy Director of WC for the State of Michigan.

Mark is active with the Workers’ Compensation Research Institute currently serving on their research committee and previously as a member of the Michigan advisory team. In 2023 Mark was the Board President of the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions after serving as an officer and at-large board member.

Mark holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University. Mark is married with two daughters and enjoys spending time with family and playing golf.
